 The Quran describes worldly life (dunya) as a temporary illusion or "enjoyment of delusion". It is not meant to be our permanent home, but rather a brief testing ground where true reality and eternal consequences lie in the Hereafter.Specific verses that explain this concept include:Surah Al-Hadid, Verse 20: "Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children..." The Quran likens this life to plant growth after rain—it blossoms briefly, pleases the observer, then withers, dries up, and turns into scattered debris. The verse concludes: "And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion"

.Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 185: "...The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception"

.Surah Al-An'am, Verse 32: "And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah..."

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says: فَا صْبِرْ اِنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ حَقٌّ وَّلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِيْنَ لَا يُوْقِنُوْنَ "So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth.
